Exercise snacks are short bursts of movement that you can do anywhere, any time. Every movement adds up to help you improve your fitness and manage your MS symptoms!

Cardio Exercises

Cardio-vascular exercise snacks get your heart rate and your breath rate up for a few minutes at a time, which can help improve your heart and lung health. This increases overall fitness levels, helping you combat fatigue.

Sprinkle these movements throughout the day to build up your energy levels and boost your mood!

Stretching Movements

Stretches throughout the day are key to relieving spasticity. Symptoms like foot drop, muscle spasms, and stiffness are all related to tightness in the muscles. That tightness can occur when you are in one position for a long time, such as sitting or hunching.

By stretching and realigning your muscles, you can help to improve your mobility in the short term and the long term. 

Strengthening Exercises

By strengthening your muscles, you can improve, maintain, and optimize your everyday functioning.

Consider your typical daily movements like walking, getting in and out of bed, or operating a car. Stay on top of your ability to complete these functions by staying strong where it counts!

It is recommended that you aim for 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week.

Remember, all movement counts. 

Incorporate a few exercise snacks every day, in addition to activities like walking, gardening, or cleaning, to hit your weekly activity goals.
