Avon, CO. (September 28, 2022) – Can Do Multiple Sclerosis, a national nonprofit delivering health and wellness education to help families living with MS thrive, has once again received a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, the world's largest and most utilized independent nonprofit evaluator. This is the fifth consecutive year that Can Do MS has earned the recognition, and the thirteenth year earning the recognition since Charity Navigator began its ratings in 2003.

Charity Navigator’s 4-star recognition is the highest possible rating that an organization can achieve. It indicates that Can Do MS executes its mission in a financially efficient way, operates transparently and with integrity, and is an organization to which donors can give with confidence. Only 17% of the charities ever evaluated have received at least 5 consecutive 4-star ratings. Among national MS nonprofits evaluated this year, Can Do MS is the top-rated organization.

“Can Do MS’s exceptional 4-star rating sets it apart from its peers and demonstrates its trustworthiness to the public,” according to Michael Thatcher, President & CEO of Charity Navigator. “Only a quarter of charities rated by Charity Navigator receive the distinction of our 4-star rating. This adds Can Do MS to a preeminent group of charities working to overcome our world’s most pressing challenges. Based on its 4-star rating, people can trust that their donations are going to a financially responsible and ethical charity when they decide to support Can Do MS.”

“The team at Can Do MS works tirelessly to provide essential programs, resources and support to the MS community and help those living this chronic illness reach their goals for a healthy, active, and empowered life,” said Kathy Costello, Chief Operating Officer of Can Do MS. “We are proud to earn this top distinction from Charity Navigator, reflecting our commitment to using every dollar donated wisely and in service to our mission.”
